Terrific above-treeline day - almost no wind and good visibility. I forget how much I enjoy the Castle Ravine Trail - climbing the headwall is very special. Saw almost nobody the entire ascent, and, then, almost nobody the entire descent. Ridge had a lot of friendly people. One lady on the ridge was continuously yelling in french down to her friend who seemed at the brink of tears (I thought eventually a dog would appear but no - it was a dude) - eeeeek. Very fun day topside. Fun to see a helicopter, too. |
