Plenty of room at ski area, but be sure not to block in any trailers or pipe (staging for on mountain construction). |

First and third are very low. Second is dry. |

A few mosquitoes down low, but minimal. |

 | Lost and Found: |
Found a yellow Squam baseball cap about 3/4 mile in; hung it on a tree. |

Trails are very dry right now, about as dry as I've ever seen it. Soil is getting pretty dusty, thus accelerating erosion in places.
Ski trails are mostly mowed now. Construction is going on throughout the ski area. Trail clearing will likely reach the Sosman Trail (a few hundred feet from the tower) within the next day or so.
Fall colors continuing to appear. Upper elevation birch have gone gold in many places and are starting to drop and cover the trail.
Very busy trails today, with dozens of folks out with groups early this morning and dozens more thereafter. |
