| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Tripoli Rd. between Waterville Valley and Thornton Gap has some really nasty potholes in the paved portions of the road. Drive with care. As for the parking situation- normally, the lot can fill up fast, which means roadside parking, but that wasn't an issue for me, since I started around 3:30 PM. |

No crossings. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Looks like some work was done here since the last time I hiked Osceola (summer 2016). Some rock steps and whatnot I didn't see before. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Good hike for dogs, but watch them, particularly on the very rocky lower half of the trail. |

| Comments: |
The Tripoli Rd. side of the trail was mostly bone dry, except for some minor areas of wet rock and mud (particularly right before the summit). There was some fall foliage starting to pop, but it appeared to be pre-peak. That combined with the chilly temperature made for a very autumn-like hike on the last day of summer. |
