Did a late afternoon loop hike up Mt. Sunapee after work. The Summit Trail, which I ascended, was dry in some spots but wet with slick rock in other spots. Some trivial mud as well. Looked like it rained earlier in the day. Watch your footing on the upper part of the trail if it's wet, particularly while hiking down, since a slip and fall on a wet rock or root can be possible. Bailed down the ski trails when I saw incoming dark clouds. They were a little damp, but other than that, no issues other than being the usual pain in the butt to walk.
The weather was actually nice during this hike- partly sunny skies and mild temps were had for most of it, and it only really got cloudy when I was on the summit and hiking down the ski trails. |
