we easily walked up the road to the management area where Sharon stayed while I headed up. this is a very impressive little mountain. the weather made for terrific views from several points and the trail was so nice and fun to do. the highpoint looks to be about 15ft. off trail up from the rock with a memorial disc in it. the roundtrip was about an hour and the walk back to the car was long but pleasant. after that we took the trip across parmachenee rd./magalloway rd. so Sharon could get an idea of how it is "out in the woods". the highlight was the stop at Garfield falls. IT IS SUPERB! last nights rain made for terrific flow but a slippery trail. we highly recommend this to be visited. overall this was a fabulous day. |
