Trails
Trails: Greenleaf Trail, Old Bridle Path
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, July 30, 2017
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Same as two years ago: State of NH sits on gold mine of parking fees they do not collect, and has done so for decades.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Significant
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All dry save one 1/2 mile above trailhead of OBP. Failure to dig out drains has resulted in water flowing down trail for ~ 100 yards.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Please refer to trip report from September 5 2015. Conditions noted there have worsened these two years past. Erosion both from boots and from water is accelerating. Many fixtures built by AMC-NH Chapter Volunteer Trail Crew onOBP are still in place, but many others have been dislodged and need to be re-set. All need to have the drains re-dug and other measures taken to stabilize this trail before long stretches wash away more than they already have.`
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Many, all seeming happy.
Bugs
Bugs: Not a problem at this time of year.
