Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: i drove in quimby road from kearsarge mountain road in warner continuing past the last house where it becomes class 6. i continued to where the road makes a hard east turn at some old camps and parked shortly beyond. i did not know that had i continued another 30 seconds or so i would have been able to park at the snowmobile trail i later discovered and used for the descent. the road is a little rough to that point, but drivable by most cars with care.

Comments
Comments: i bushwhacked up in logged woods after a couple hundred vertical intersecting a snowmobile trail. this trail continued right up towards the peak to a bit over 1600ft before it turned west off the ridge (just past a hubcap on a tree) and i bushwhacked from there up to the summit in mostly open and interesting woods. the broad summit had a number of bumps but the recognized highpoint is pretty obvious with its old survey station pin. i descended on the same route to the snowmobile trail and followed it all the way back to quimby road a couple minutes walk from where i parked.
