Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Arrived at the Appalachia parking lot on Rt 2 at 5:45am. Lot totally full and already a few dozen cars along the road.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: A couple of tiny ones - all rocked hopped easily 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The King Ravine trail marks could use a fresh coat of paint :)

Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few, all small, all super friendly.  
Bugs
Bugs: Plenty. Black flies were biting a lot up the King Ravine trail, and green head horse flies on the way out on Brookside

Comments: Solo hike to Adams and Madison via King Ravine and a bunch of other trails. Tons of people, tons of fun. The carrot cake at Madison Spring hut is worth 10x more than what they charge you for it!! Full story and pics of my hike in the link below.
