Comments
Comments: Fun, super muddy, and super wet day doing a loop with Jackson and Pierce. Foggy in the morning but luckily burned off around 1230pm when we hit the summit of Jackson, by the time we made it past Mitzpah and up to Pierce clouds/fog had completely burned off and we were left with gorgeous views up towards Washington which surprisingly wasn't in the clouds. Big thanks to whoever maintains those planks through the bogs between Jackson and Pierce because we would've been swimming without them! Still some stubborn monorail hanging out between the mountains and a decent amount on Crawford Path still. Not enough for micros and easily avoided. All trails were basically flowing streams but was expected with snow melt and how much rain we've received this year. Saw lots of folks going up in sneakers?! Not sure how they made out. Only somewhat hairy part was the ledges going up Jackson because of the mud/rain. Definitely had to take your time. Overall yet another great day in the Whites!
