Comments
Comments: It rained from the get go with 10 minute interval breaks. We put spikes on at the lake. There were segments of monorail and then bare ground from Lonesome Lake to Mt Kinsman Trail junction. The ridge had a monorail that was stable/unstable, very thin and then stable again - it was a guessing game that made things interesting. Gore tex, waterproof boots, and paying close attention to where I thought the monorail would be, was key to a decent day out. I took a misstep and was stuck in waist deep snow - I was happy to be hoisted out. We inadvertently played a game of teeter totter where the snow bridge split and we both lost footing falling on opposite sides of the bridge. On our return trip we were surprised to see 6 others. Thanks to Al for a fun hike in the rain.
