| Comments: |
Perfect above treeline day! 26 degrees at 7am, so the snow was hard and easy to walk on with microspikes. Above treeline was dusting of fresh snow but melted quickly in the warm sun. We barebooted (very carefully in spots) from Jefferson summit to Jewell on the way out! Carried snowshoes but the trail didn't soften enough to use them today....we stayed on monorail and were out rather early.....conditions may vary...saw some deep postholes, that would not be fun if temps warm up.... |
