| Comments: |
The snowshoe track was well established thanks to Dunc4 and many others. Some bare booters were chopping up the surface but the surface has been restored by subsequent snowshoe traffic. On the ledges leading to the summit there was some barely exposed rock that can be easily circumvented. The steep boulder area just below these ledges were fully buried in snow making for easier footing than the summer. Nobody had used the Webster branch of the Webster-Jackson trail. Nobody had ventured between Mt Jackson and Mt Webster on the Webster Cliff trail. There were four hikers that had broken trail between Mizpah and Mt Jackson. No views today at the summit. There was one gray jay at the top. The side trails to Bugle Cliff and Elephant Head were broken out. Nice to meet kevin and a couple from Exeter. |
