Comments
Comments: Used snowshoes the entire time. Herd path and North Twin Trail were broken out but still very soft. Several tracks continued along herd path towards the Twins at Firewardens Trail intersection. Firewardens had been broken out by a skier, who stopped about a half mile from the summit, so I broke out the trail from there, following faint tracks from a lone snowshoer from yesterday. Trail was a pleasant snowshoe down until encountering a group changing into snowshoes after making a posthole mess out of the trail for almost a mile. The trail from this point to the North Twin trail herd path was a junk show with lots of ankle twisters. Saw several skiers and a couple people with snowshoes (thank you) starting their adventure on our trek out. Snowshoes still needed on these trails!
