Followed Pemi East Side Trail with 6 inches of new snow for a couple miles then started bushwhack heading east in open woods. Stayed just north of 1st bump 2200 ft with lots of moose activity. We continued east up some very steep stuff with new snow more like 12inches to about 3000 feet were things started to level off. We sprinkled more northeast now hitting the helicopter pad, solar and the recognized summit. On the way back we started off following our footstep back then trangled to avoid the steep down, rejoined our tracks back to the car.
