| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The parking lot on route 116 is not plowed out. Some enterprising hiker shoveled enough of a hole in the snow bank to get in. Don't recommend going in without 4WD. We had no problems with SUV's. |

| Comments: |
Should have taken the snowshoes. A trace of morning flurries down below on crusty packed trail, became 2-3 or so of powder up higher, with drifts maxing out at knee deep. Broke trail through drifts over to South and there were places where the tracks were filled back in by the time we went back so we had to break it out again. Expect to need snowshoes up there for the next hiker to come along. |
