Crossing about 2 miles from Bear Notch Rd needs an actual bridge. A bit dicey crossing on remains of the snow bridge. Wooden bridges further in had some slippery black ice, beware. |

About 6 large blown downs with herd paths or duck under. Some spots could use brushing. |

| Comments: |
Snow was abundant, deep, soft, not powdery, not crusted yet, not sticky, good traction, easy to break trail. Went half way from Bear Notch Road to Lily Pond, very fine conditions. Suggest bring a saw. Dogs may enjoy tracks of a large forest feline. USFS sign warned of the crossing lacking a bridge. "Caution! Bridge out. Do not cross bridge." Not sure how to not cross a bridge that isn't there. |
