| Comments: |
Brought snow shoes along but didn't use them. The trail was stable and well packed thanks to the hikers the day before.
Bare booting left no damage to well groomed trail as it was frozen in the morning. The lower levels began to get a bit slushy/sticky where the sun was hitting it.
We went up falling waters first just in case the trail was icy but it actually would've been easier going up old bridle first as the only icy parts except the ridge, were the last mile before the summit of Lafayette. I am sure the warmer temps this week will change the conditions. Great day to do this loop. |
