Comments
Comments: The folks who broke these trails yesterday did a fantastic job: the tracks made for excellent snowshoeing all the way - in the morning especially. The afternoon warmth made it just a little sticky in spots which led to a bit of balling underneath my 'shoes but this was only a minor annoyance.

Despite it being a gorgeous day there wasn't nearly the amount of people here as I would have guessed - I counted 11 total during my entire hike including a group of four barebooting dudes** coming up mid-day. I actually had this peak all to myself for about 45 minutes - and it could have been longer but I decided to start heading out. Clear blue skies, abundant sun, near zero wind and comfy temps made this a good day to linger at the summit and take it all in. If my 'winter season' ends here I am very pleased.

** These folks did their very best to mess up a great snowshoeing track. I give the group of four an A+ for effort but only a B for results due to the absence of postholes - at least from what I encountered on the lower half of the trail. However, it did become a little chippy and difficult to smooth out in the afternoon due to the slight stickiness.
