|
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Construction is happening up at the new & improved Ravine Lodge so parking is established below the usual spots. Road is all plowed all the way up the end where the regular summer trailhead is. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Unpacked Powder |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All good -- bridges intact. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No apparent issue .. there is one mild duck-under but a quick saw effort can clean this up or once the snowpack goes away it may no longer be an issue. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Cuz of the deep snow today, snowballs in the toes were an issue. But some good toe-munching and some friendly hands took care of the situation. Neck deep in the snow on the way up was cool. Then rolling around with feet in the air was the way to go up near the summit in the frozen tundra and sub-zero windchill. |

| Bugs: |
None in evidence. |

| Comments: |
Deep snow and plenty of legs was the story of the day -- beautiful day on this favorite peak! We had a group of 10 plus three strong skiers made it all happen. The hike out was great. No postholers today!! |
