Comments
Comments: The hike up to the summit of Jackson was very straight forward. It is well packed down and easy to navigate, there are a few very icy steep areas but they are okay with traction.
The trail between the summit of Jackson and Webster is a drift mess. The blazes are pretty scarce so we guessed our way through in knee deep snow with the occasional old foot print. It was beautiful and peaceful but not the easiest in terms of way-finding.
The trail between the summit of Webster back to the junction with the Webster-Jackson trail is posthole HELL. Most of the postholes were covered by a bit of snow so difficult to see. There was a lot of ankle twisting and slow going. Hopefully they'll get covered up with the new snow this week.
