Hiked up to Moriah via the Carter-Moriah trail. Was an absolutely beautiful day. A bit chilly at first but the trail was well protected until the very summit. Lost the trail for a a bit after Surprise in the valley below but was able to find it after searching for a while - the wind had covered some tracks and trail in that area. Wore spikes car to car and had no problems as long as I stayed in the center of the trail (monorail). Beautiful hike! |
