Comments
Comments: Looking for some solitude, decided to see how Skookumchuck was holding up after the recent snowfall...the first mile or so was rough with a barebooter from a day or two ago wrecking havoc on the trail (they eventually turned around), never got warm enough to pack it back down with snowshoes....after that followed a skin track that veered off the established trail and let to some fun exploring with some wide open spaces in fairly open woods (and not so open woods) along the way....ended up bushwhacking to about 4100 feet before rejoining the trail...lots of deep soft powder after that to the ridgeline....turned around at the ridge...fun day!....saw 3 folks and a dog heading up later in the afternoon as I was headed down.
