What a gorgeous day. The trail was skinny with some deep sides right from the get go. But it was stable. The very last pitch to the summit t was sketchy. You can do it in snowshoes but more aggressive traction would have been more ideal as many hikers were getting creative with their routes. Descending, the high temps made for two hours of dripping, melting snow and lots of snow bombs. The trail pack definitely degraded and get very soft and sticky by 2. But it was still very much passable. |
