Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost a pivot pin on my brand new Tubbs Flex VRT snowshoes only a mile into the hike. Fortunately I was able to thread a key ring trough the holes and continue to use them the rest of the day.

Comments
Comments: As others have stated, it was an excellent day up on the ridge. A little windy but warm and sunny. There were a couple times where the wind made balance tricky and other times it was alost calm. Lots of crust above treeline and almost all of the scrub has been drifted over. The upper mile of Falling Waters Tr is a chopped up mess, especially right at treeline.

The count for the day was: OBP/Greenleaf- 18 booters 17 snowhoers, FRT- of the two dozen people I met it was half and half, FWT- 24 booters 1 snowshoer (myself). I saw a few carrying them and one pair that someone stashed trail side. I'm not sure how much snow is needed for people to decide to use snowshoes but it definitely makes it easier and maintains the integrity of the trail. It will be interesting once it all freezes.

I did my part and decided to break out the Shining Rock Spur. I was sinking to just below the knees but not as bad on the way back up. It really made me appreciate those that broke these trails out over the last couple days. Nice to see Lefty E again in passing.
