Comments
Comments: Left the lot at 8 AM to a nice fluffy packed trail...eventually caught up with Lauren and Jim who told me they had been breaking Trail with 2 others who were just ahead of me...they had done a great job..thanks! Caught up with the leaders and took my turn with Shawn up to the hut...my plan was to summit Adams so I broke off to the Star Lake Trail..I quickly ran into 3' drifts..gusty winds and no one to help break Trail convinced me to head back to the hut..Lauren and Jim had just arrived and I went to the summit with Lauren..I estimated that the winds were gusting to 45+ and we didn't spend long at the summit...the cairns yesterday were visible..the walk from the hut to the summit was over crusty snow and ice..crampons the best bet here...we decided to quickly get back below tree line before making equipment changes..
caught back up with Jim and had a nice walk out...thanks Lauren, Jim, and Shawn!
