1 trekking pole along side of trail...hopefully someone lost it on ascent and it was still there for them on their return |

The walk from the parking area probably adds 1.5 mi. rt...the trail was well packed low. Higher up some people switched to snowshoes while others spiked the trip...either works....cairns ice/snow encrusted but still pronounced due to their size....head gear and goggles pretty much required today with a strong, cold wind...quite a few hikers out today with skiers as well |
