Comments
Comments: Bought the $10 uphill pass when ticket office opened at 8:30. Wildcat Ridge Trail was pretty well packed out with 2-3" of light powder but hasn't seen a huge amount of traffic. Going down to Carter Notch was challenging on all the sidehills, but didn't fall or slide off into into the woods. Nice snowshoe steps kicked into the crust in many places. Beyond the ski area I didn't see anyone until just after the Carter Dome Trail, may have been the caretaker going up. Trail below Carter Dome Trail was hard packed so I took snowshoes off. Tried to hitchhike back to ski area...HA HA! Ended up walking the 2.9 miles but the sun was warm on my face, views of Prezies fantastic and not much traffic.
