All of the trails were covered with old crusty hard snow with some ice. I did not break through the crust, even off trail. The worst trail was the bottom half of Mount Major Trail (didn't do the top half) with lots of ice, but not unmanageable with microspikes. The top has windswept snow (crusty) and bare rocks showing through. It's very pretty. |
