Nice fresh snow on the trails, about 4-5 inches of new powder. Two sets of recent snowshoe tracks on the BT, looks like from last night or very early this morning, going all the way around the loop. Just past the Penacook Lake outlook I hopped on the old logging road headed south to where it dies out, then bushwhacked through easy and open woods up to the summit, where I picked up the YT. Both the YT and SPCT were not broken out. No views from either outlook due to falling snow. The woods were beautiful with fresh snow on the trees. :) |
