Comments
Comments: Variable weather with decreasing cloudiness and patches of sun later in the day. Clouds rose for nice views excepting upper Presidential summits. Nicely protected from the wind by the trees, but could see the clouds scudding by overhead. Lots of company on the trail. We heard three languages (including English) spoken on the trail today. Avalon and A-Z trails to Tom col is a sidewalk. Other trails are intermittently good tracks with sections badly postholed. Currently any footwear will serve until the next snowfall. Kestrel data Willey T=18F W=0 in the trees therefore WC=18F. Field T=8F W=12mph WC= -12F. Great to be out.
