Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy enough. One on Greeley requires a little care due to ice bridges not quite formed.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two significant on Greeley, but nothing major. The trail to Osceola East has some spots beginning to overgrow, but all easily passable.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of pups down low on Greeley with no issues.
Bugs
Bugs: Nada.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing (I hope!)

Comments
Comments: Ponds were beautiful. I hit those before heading up the peaks. Although short, I forgot how steep they are.plus, as an out and back, you need to summit 3 4K's. Bare booted to the ponds, seldom post-holing. Snow is deep- about 18-24 inches ifyou go off trail. Up Osceola, it was full crampons all the way. I used them exclusively even though I brought snow shoes. The snow is too frozen to require the loft. As for the chimney, it doesn't appear anyone recently has brought the right tools to ascend its massive icy bulge. There are presently two workarounds. Great, quiet day with super views off East.
