A couple of blowdowns on the ridge are easy "duck-unders" now but with more snow they could be a bit of nuisance. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Not allowed on the ski-trails. Decent conditions on the ridge but the crust may not carry heavy dogs. |

| Comments: |
On a windy day the lifts were closed and Helle and I seemed to have the entire mountain to ourselves. Not much revenue for the ski-resort today but they made 20 bucks from us!
Polecat nicely groomed but with a hard, icy crust. Any kind of traction will work.
Wildcat Ridge tr. had not been traveled since the last storm but wind and rain had consolidated any new snow - for the most part. It was crusted but not always with sufficient strength and we occasionally post-holed in snowshoes. Anything but snowshoes will be pretty tough going across the ridge. |
