Comments
Comments: Trail was packed well, and we started out with microspikes. As we gained elevation deeper snow showed postholes, so we all (6 of us) changed to snowshoes. At treeline 1/2 went back to spikes and then eventually back to showshoes. I kept mine on the whole way, and we all wore them the whole way done.
Perfect windless day for 2+ miles above treeline! "Warm" despite the 4 degree temps. I only added a layer at the summit and it was nice enough to stop for breaks, here and there. No full face masks and googles needed. Lovely hike. It was nice to meet some new hikers. Hope to see you out there again or on some family trips!
Wildlife: Two red breasted nuthatches and plenty of showshoe hare and squirrel tracks
