Comments
Comments: Trail was well broken out by snowshoes (some snow machines had been by the trailhead to create a nice groomed start to the hike). Drifts above treeline. We had planned on taking the brook trail down, but due to the drifting and very low visibility in the blowing snow, we decided to play it safe and head back down. We didn't want the embarrassment of getting lost on such an easy mountain on NYE and make front page news.

We covered up any leftover bare-boot tracks with our snowshoes on the way out. Saw one other couple who didn't stay at the summit due to the conditions. We had the hut to ourselves to ring in 2017 - Thanks for the awesome experience Chris, Hannah, Ann and Ann!

These great conditions will continue to be great until the rain on Tuesday. Please use those snowshoes to keep the trail in good condition!
