Comments: Trail up to the split was packed. Took the trail to Carter Notch and stopped by the hut for the worlds best/most needed coco and coffee. Learned my lesson about double-socks for the last time (don't do it), but got an extremely warm replacement pair from the hut. Snowshoing up Cartier-Moriah from the Notch was actually pretty straight forward w/ all the snow and somebodies hard work of breaking the trail. Lots of sweat and toe pointing for us up out of the Notch in about 20-30min. Got over Carter w/ no problem because someone had broken the trail earlier today, but couldn't complete the loop to Hight. Had to take the lower link then go up Hight and back-track. Basically everything should be packed from the storm on the 29th w/ the exception of the section from Carter Dome summit to Hight... if it snows tonight again, you may need to rebrand trail but based on the dozen or so people we saw going up to Carter Notch hut late afternoon as we were coming out to Route 16, I'm guessing some folks will have early plans on the 1st that should help you out.
