Comments
Comments: M pretty much summed up the crawford path trail: unconsolidated snow and bare rock and ice. I used microspikes , as I did not punch through the hardened snow---there were alot of deep post holes and drifts, I tried snow shoes on way back but to much uneven surface, went back to microspikes.(Snow coming in tomorrow) The summit was in a cloud but visibility was ok, It was a touch the summit and head back down quickly as the winds were gusting to 40mph and it was very cold with the cloud cover . Mostly barren rock and ice flows heading up the Eisenhower Loop trail , at times hill sounds would have been more secure, but plenty of rocks to go around the hard ice flows. Unique views heading up of clouds, rays of sun and mountain peaks.Great day out with Marta **** To M , I would have stopped to chat but I was so Cold ! Very nice to meet you !
