Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in decent shape. There's still the step-over/crawl-over thigh-high blowdown on the southeastern section of the Goose Pond Loop.

Comments
Comments: Goose Pond is looking much better now -- with recent rains/snow -- than it did this summer and fall. The outflow area is almost back to normal, whereas a few months ago it looked like a muddy ditch.

Nice 2-3 inches of new snow all the way around the pond except on a couple of south-facing slopes, where it had melted and was bare (wet) ground. Softwoods look really pretty on the western side of the pond.

No (light) traction needed.

There was just one other set of footprints on the Goose Pond Snowmobile Loop, and that person headed off to Little Sugarloaf. Otherwise, no one else has been on the trails recently.
