Comments
Comments: First half of hike is easy with a gentle uphill. About 1" of snow covered some rocks. On the steep sections we encountered a little more snow covering bare rock and snow over ice. The trail higher up was a little challenging to follow. Surprisingly we were able to bare boot to the summit. The last .1 miles to the summit had about 3-4" of drifted snow in places. Even more surprising the descent was easier than the climb. Too much exposed rock to traverse made microspikes impractical to use in either direction. Left trail head at 9:45a, on summit on 12 noon, half hour on summit, back at trail head at 2:30p
