Lovely return to this sweet viewpoint. Basically walk straight thru camp, trail (sign) starts after a cluster of bunkhouses on the left. A group of carpenters were putting the floor down on new construction right next to the start. Lots of leaves made for slippery sections and tricky footing on the descent. Some trace snow left over on the ground near the summit ledge. Moosilauke summit in the clouds but it's South Peak and below were coated in white as were Osceola, Tecumseh, and Sandwich among othertaller peaks to the NE. Winter in the air. |
