Trails don't seem to be blazed at all and are defined with felled trees and limbs - though I did see a couple of blue ribbons. I also found two SUMMIT signs and one sign for the Switchback Trail. |

In all of my years living in this state and the countless times I've driven past it I had never visited Hooksett Pinnacle so today was the day. I found it to be a fun little area to explore with fine views from both the Pinnacle itself and at the 'bench outlook.' As noted above old trees and limbs define the actual trails but there are many herd paths also.
Though cloudy I was able to get some pics with autumn colors trying to hang on from both outlooks. As soon as I got the Pinnacle proper however the rains came. I didn't see anyone else here during my brief stay early this afternoon. This park is a nice alternative to the rest area if you need to get out and stretch your legs on the way home :) |
