Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There are no good options for parking here as the shoulder of Route 171 is very narrow in this area. I parked at a gated pull-off to a tree farm on the eastbound side and walked the road to the gated entrance on the other side of the field. My car was not ticketed, towed or damaged in the hour or so I left there it but YMMV.

Comments
Comments: After crossing the gate at the SE corner of the field I followed the road to the back right corner where the ATV corridor begins. Once into the woods I avoided a signed path to the R and stayed straight. This path gets increasingly narrow and rough but then at a crest there is an opening to the R - which splits into two trails: the R trail leads directly to the top. Once at the summit there is a herd path which leads to a S facing ledge. With today's poor visibility I can only assume the Lakes were out there somewhere :)

A mix of drizzle and light rain were my only company here as I didn't see anyone else.
