| Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy hike for Marlie. Almost no water along the way so plan ahead. We saw lots of dogs including one that was roaming around the parking lot with it's owner no where to be found. Most were off leash and although well behaved for the most part the owners were letting them roam freely sometimes invading Marlie's comfort zone. I guess I can't blame Marlie, I would be getting annoyed if everyone kept running up to me and sticking their nose in my butt. |

Another great hike with fall colors and new redlines for me. Perfect treck for a 4 year old. Just use caution as the ledges drop off straight down just feet from the edge of the trail. There is no sign at the summit but it is obvious. We had a quiet lunch at the top of the ski slopes before descending the Papoose ski trail and taking an access road back to the Holt's Ledge Tr. Trapper John Shelter has a nice fireplace from an old house directly in front. The register warned of mice stealing down from someone's sleeping bag just days before.
