Comments
Comments: We didn't even know these falls existed and had it not been for a geocache in a very old abandoned car, we still wouldn't know about them. Crossing Ellis River to get into the area will probably never be easier at this time of year then it is this year with the drought. We were able to cross without getting our feet wet. We went down to the abandoned old car first for the geocache which was cool. After that we tracked back to the Winniweta Falls Trail and followed it up to the falls. Of course with the drought there was next to no water falling, but these falls are still an impressive sight. Being able to check out how the water has sculptured the riverbed it has flowed over for all these years was very cool. We do hope to return again when the water is flowing more to check them out again.
We did post our usual video for anyone interested in see the area or how we got there....just click the link.
