Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only one at the start of the Mt Piper trail where there is a nice bridge crossing even though on Saturday you could have crossed on the rocks. Water very low.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The only item of concern to me was at the beginning of the Round Pond piper link (Green)where it had a re-direct. It is fairly new, There was quite a bit of low scrub that are still high enough to catch your feet on constantly. Need for care from that end. I met a man who said the re-route was quite refreshing because the trail they re-routed was quite steep and with lots of loose rocks. He was glad, I had never been there as I am attempting to Redline the Belknaps which my wife Bobbi and I enjoy very much. The Round Pond trail (Red) has some very nice steps going down to the Pond, The Bratts did very good work there. We had not been to the Pond in a few years since Our first discovery, Nice to go back and especially on a new trail which we had never done.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No water to speak of at s time except at the start
Bugs
Bugs: a few buzzing on the Round Pond Piper link trail. Nothing of concern.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: I had a very good day. I took a little on my way back from RoundPond to explore along the vista trail which leads to the Swett Mt Junction. Nice views along the way. I met quite a few people who shared their insights on some of the trails I have remaining in the area and I thought I will do them with more company as they sound more dangerous and hairy as well as slippery. This hike I had done alone as Bobbi was working
