| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The parking lot was almost empty at 7:30am, but around 10:30am when I finished there were maybe 15 cars there; still plenty of room in the first lot. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All of the few water crossings are low and easy to hop over. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Everything looked pretty good! |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw many dogs, most of which were unleashed. Please, if you're going to hike put your dog on a leash. You never know when you'll need to control your dog and keep it away from another agressive dog |
| Bugs: |
No ticks to be found, but the summit was swarmed with flies. However they left me alone for the most part. |

| Comments: |
The trail and some rocks were a little wet from the morning dew, but the day was a perfect day for hiking. The trail looked great and I enjoyed myself. Some websites say that the trailhead is hard to find if you're going to hike it from Waterville Valley; all you need to know is just keep driving until you reach Lot #1. You should easily see the trailhead on the right hand side. A big brown WMNF sign marks the start of the trail. |
