Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking lot was almost empty at 7:30am, but around 10:30am when I finished there were maybe 15 cars there; still plenty of room in the first lot.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All of the few water crossings are low and easy to hop over.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Everything looked pretty good!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I saw many dogs, most of which were unleashed. Please, if you're going to hike put your dog on a leash. You never know when you'll need to control your dog and keep it away from another agressive dog
Bugs
Bugs: No ticks to be found, but the summit was swarmed with flies. However they left me alone for the most part.

Comments
Comments: The trail and some rocks were a little wet from the morning dew, but the day was a perfect day for hiking. The trail looked great and I enjoyed myself. Some websites say that the trailhead is hard to find if you're going to hike it from Waterville Valley; all you need to know is just keep driving until you reach Lot #1. You should easily see the trailhead on the right hand side. A big brown WMNF sign marks the start of the trail.
