from the gate I walked the road to a 2nd gate with a sign for forest road 460(not406). nice road walk that led to a fork where I went left. this was good too with occasional grown in areas, but as it steepened it became rougher and harder to follow. finally, I b'wacked directly up thru good woods which had some scrappiness and steepness. things opened up again up high and led me over to the wonderful summit area. what a tremendous view for at least 180 degrees. spectacular! on return I bent a little east of north and landed a little further to the east on the road. again, overall the woods was never all that bad. even if it was, the reward up top is well worth it. must be done on a good day. |
