| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of room at 5 PM! Parked right in front of the start of the trail. Not the case on a nice summer weekend, though... |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
No crossings. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Mt. Major Trail looks like it's been worked on recently (SPNHF owns the land around the mountain now). The path from MMT to the summit is not officially marked or maintained, but can be followed with a good trail eye. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Didn't see any dogs (or people for that matter), but this is a good area for them. |
|
| Bugs: |
Strangely almost non-existent... |

| Comments: |
I took the Mt. Major Trail 0.2 mi to the start of the unofficial path to the summit of Little Mt. Major, off to the right. Followed the lightly trodden path, with occasional cairns and flagging (all unofficial), to the open and rocky but viewless summit. Potential for decent restricted views in winter. I did some bushwhacking around the summit area, and then headed back down to the area with glacial erratic boulders and bushwhacked to a cave a bit off trail. Went back to the trail and then went back to the car the same way I came up. |
