i parked at the culdesac at the end of upper valley road in bethlehem which is south of the summit. the road is being developed with multiple lots for sale including two at the culdesac. currently there are no prohibitions against access and it is easy to avoid the one developed property nearby. with further development this route may not be viable. |

the south side of the peak has been logged so at this point in the season it was a little hairy getting started in the grown up cuts. everything was wet and one thankfully short section of 5 foot ferns and thorns i hit had me second guessing the route. a bit higher there were more sections of open woods to ascend through and the going got better up to the summit area which is covered in knee high spruce. there are a couple of bumps one of which is recognized. i descended on the same route. |
