Comments
Comments: Why not one more and I was looking at an old map and noticed maybe I could make an loop over Oak Hill. I parked at the Camp Morgan Town Forest Trailhead and then walked across the road and found an old road, if in doubt stay of left side of path as you start out. Path looks like it is still trod upon often. I followed this all the way up to the ridge north of Oak Hill and intersected the MS Greenway. Cool views of all the little peaks I have been visiting lately Huntley, Silver, Windturbines/Bean, Lovewell---so pretty even on a hazy late afternoon. Oak Hill was logged not long ago and it gifts a sweet vista. Nice summit rock cairn and sign--though perhaps high point is a few yard east of it. I followed the Greenway back down and there are a few ledgy scrambles. I jumped a big deer in the open area just before I got back to the road. I popped out at a white gate about a half mile from my car south. I walked up hill to my car. This would be a better loop in the other Loop was just under 2 miles.
