| Dog-Related Notes: |
It summer time so with the warm temps be sure to carry water for your dog as there is none across the ridge. Marlie handled the ladder steps going up Willey with ease but dogs uncomfortable with stairs may not like them. |
|
| Bugs: |
Not bad. Some deer flies later in the day but they weren't too bothersome if we kept moving. |

Crossing the Willey Range then looping back through Whitewall Valley is my favorite way to visit these peaks. The trails were busy to start but once we headed down the A-Z trail things quieted down drastically. I was pleased to find no one at Thoreau Falls when we arrived making for an excellent spot to take a break. After a nice walk through the woods we made a pit stop at the campsite before heading out. Thanks Matt for joining on this hike.
